Emeya Recruitment are supporting a leading engineering and infrastructure contractor in the search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in London.

The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring contractual compliance, cost control, and commercial performance are maintained at every stage.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, planners, and operational teams, you will help deliver critical infrastructure projects where precision, accountability, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial aspects of projects from award through to final account.
- Administer NEC contracts and provide contractual support to project teams.
- Prepare valuations, applications for payment, change management documentation, and final accounts.
- Manage compensation events, early warnings, and contract communications.
- Support cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial control processes.
- Assist with procurement activities and subcontractor commercial management.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Produce accurate and timely commercial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Build effective working relationships across project teams, clients, and supply chain partners.
- Ensure commercial activities align with the requirements of highly regulated and safety-critical project environments.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, infrastructure, engineering, rail, utilities, energy, or other regulated sectors.
- Strong understanding and practical experience of NEC forms of contract.
- Experience working on projects where compliance, safety, and quality standards are critical to project success.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Services, HVAC systems, or MEP installations would be highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and committed to ongoing professional development.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent industry experience.
