Radiopharmacy Technician - Night Shift

  • Annual Salary: £45,000
  • Location: Oxford
  • Job Type: Full-time, Night Shift (12-hour rotating shift pattern, occasional Saturday shifts)

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Participate in the project phase, including drafting and executing validation protocols for the production and quality control of radiopharmaceutical products.
  • Manufacture PET radiopharmaceuticals using advanced technology in a GMP environment.
  • Perform aseptic dispensing and ensure sanitation of the production suites.
  • Conduct quality control procedures to analyze the radionuclide and radiochemical purity of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain rigorous standards of cleanliness and compliance in the facility, adhering to environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Pack and dispatch radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with local guidelines and transport regulations.
  • Engage in continuous training and development activities, sharing knowledge and training staff as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Science-related degree preferred.
  • Experience in aseptic dispensing or radiopharmacy is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical chemistry and GMP.
  • Familiarity with Ionising Radiation Local Rules, COSSH, and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and competence in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours in a rotating 12-hour shift pattern.
