A highly regarded infant school in Havering is seeking an outstanding Reception Teacher to join its thriving Early Years team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Reception Teacher to take ownership of a Reception class within a well-established and well-resourced EYFS setting.
The school is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Reception Teacher who can hit the ground running, deliver high-quality teaching and create a nurturing environment where every child can flourish.
The Role
As a Reception Teacher, you will:
• Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the EYFS Framework
• Create a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment
• Support childrens academic, social and emotional development
• Monitor progress through effective assessment and observation
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
• Inspire a love of learning during this crucial stage of education
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
The successful Reception Teacher will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching within Reception or Early Years
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and assessment framework
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A proactive, positive and enthusiastic approach
• High expectations for achievement and behaviour
• A genuine passion for Early Years education
This position is not suitable for ECTs. The school is seeking an experienced Reception Teacher who can make an immediate impact.

Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience.
