Are you a nurturing Teaching Assistant who enjoys working in EYFS? Humly North West is recruiting for a Reception Teaching Assistant to support children at a primary school in Preston from September 2026.
This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys helping young children settle into school life, build confidence and develop through play-based learning. You’ll support the class teacher with daily routines, early learning activities and helping children feel safe, happy and engaged.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be working in a Reception class, supporting children with:
- Play-based learning and classroom routines
- Early literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Social development and confidence-building
- Small-group and individual support
- Creating a positive, calm and nurturing EYFS environment
You’ll Be a Good Fit If You…
- Have experience working in EYFS, Reception, nursery or a primary school setting
- Enjoy supporting young children at the start of their education
- Are patient, positive and reliable
- Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Are happy to support individuals, small groups and the wider class
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one
- Are willing to complete Humly’s safeguarding and compliance process before placement
