Job Title: Northeast Essex Recovery College Lead
Location: Northeast Essex (Multiple Locations)
Covering Colchester, Tendring and Harwich up to 3-4 times per week depending on venues and their base will be in the Northeast Essex area, Colchester or Clacton.
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract for 9 months
37.5 hrs per week (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm)
Salary: £37,000 per annum pro rata

We’re looking for an inspiring and dynamic Northeast Essex Recovery College Lead to shape and deliver high-quality learning experiences that promote mental health and wellbeing across the community.
As the Recovery College Lead, you will take a central role in designing, coordinating, and delivering educational programmes that support recovery. You’ll work collaboratively with people with lived experience, families, carers, and professionals—ensuring courses are inclusive, engaging, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-design, plan, and deliver a range of courses and workshops that promote positive
mental health and wellbeing
- Lead the development of innovative learning opportunities for adults with lived experience, as well as their families, friends, and mental health practitioners
- Deliver some courses directly, while supporting and guiding Tutors and Peer Trainers to co-deliver others
- Work under the guidance of the Training and Business Development Manager to ensure high-quality, consistent delivery
- Provide constructive feedback, advice, and ongoing support to learners
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment across all venues
