We’re recruiting on behalf of a major, well-established national recruitment agency with an outstanding reputation within the construction sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Recruitment Consultant to their successful Trades & Labour team in Sheffield.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take over a warm desk specialising in Residential Trades & Labour recruitment, backed by long-standing client relationships and access to major PSLs, Tier 1 contractors, and national frameworks.

The Role

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and growing an established Trades & Labour desk, building relationships with both clients and candidates, and driving revenue through successful temporary placements.

This role offers a strong mix of existing business alongside opportunities to further develop your market.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and developing a warm Residential Trades & Labour desk
• Building and maintaining strong client and candidate relationships
• Sourcing and interviewing candidates through job boards, referrals, LinkedIn, and networking
• Managing the full recruitment cycle from vacancy qualification through to placement
• Identifying new business opportunities within the construction market
• Negotiating rates, offers, and terms with clients and candidates
• Maintaining accurate records and pipeline activity within the CRM system

What We’re Looking For

• Previous recruitment experience, ideally within Construction, Trades & Labour, Industrial recruitment, Engineering or Manufacturing recruitment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Motivated, target-driven, and commercially minded
• Resilient with a proactive approach to business development
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Sector changers from similar recruitment backgrounds will also be considered
