Refrigeration Improver

Location: London (covering surrounding areas)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

We’re recruiting for a motivated Refrigeration Improver to join a growing commercial engineering business working across London and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within refrigeration and air conditioning, gaining hands-on experience across a varied commercial portfolio.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll support the delivery of maintenance, servicing, and repair works across pubs, bars, restaurants, and other commercial environments. The company has built a strong reputation within the industry, offering long-term stability, ongoing training, and clear progression opportunities for ambitious engineers.

The Role

  • Assist experienced engineers with planned and reactive maintenance
  • Support servicing and repairs on commercial air conditioning systems
  • Work on small refrigeration equipment including cellar cooling and under-counter units
  • Attend breakdowns and help diagnose faults across commercial sites
  • Complete job reports and maintain high service standards
  • Travel across a manageable patch covering West London, Slough, and surrounding areas
  • Learn industry best practices, compliance standards, and fault-finding techniques

About You

  • Previous experience within refrigeration, air conditioning, HVAC, or building services preferred
  • F-Gas certification desirable but not essential
  • Keen to develop a long-term career within refrigeration engineering
  • Practical mindset with strong work ethic
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
