This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can work autonomously, make confident decisions and maintain high standards from day one.

Package includes:

  • Basic salary of £54,080 per annum
  • Potential to earn up to £64,280 through Ofsted and occupancy bonuses
  • £3,000 bonus for an Outstanding Ofsted report

  • Paid on-call: £25 per weekday and £35 per weekend
  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience as a Registered Manager, or a very strong Deputy Manager ready for progression
  • Ideally 2–3 years’ experience within a senior management role
  • Strong experience within children’s residential EBD services
  • Experience opening, registering or stabilising a children’s home would be highly desirable
  • A track record of working within homes rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted
  • Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding and quality standards
  • Level 3 Children and Young People qualification, or equivalent
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management completed, underway, or willingness to continue
  • Ability to lead a team independently and confidently
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with placing authorities, families and professionals
  • Must be able to commute to the DN9 area
  • Must be willing to travel to head office in Pontefract for interviews and manager meetings

Any previous disciplinaries, safeguarding concerns or failed Fit Person interviews must be declared at application stage.

This role would suit a confident, experienced and ambitious children’s residential manager who is ready to take ownership of a new service and build something with quality, consistency and strong outcomes at its core.
