Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

£50,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in the Liverpool area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and growing provider committed to delivering high-quality, child-focused care within a therapeutic residential environment. The role would suit a strong leader who is confident managing all aspects of a children’s home, driving positive outcomes for young people, and leading services towards GOOD and OUTSTANDING Ofsted outcomes.

The successful candidate will have previous Registered Manager experience within children’s residential care, strong safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to lead and motivate a staff team whilst ensuring the home remains fully compliant with Ofsted regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home
• Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children and young people
• Ensure safeguarding practices and regulatory standards are consistently maintained
• Lead, support, and develop residential staff teams through supervision and performance management
• Maintain high-quality care planning, risk assessments, and recording standards
• Work closely with local authorities, social workers, education providers, and external professionals
• Manage the home through Ofsted registration and inspection processes
• Promote positive outcomes, stability, and emotional wellbeing for young people
• Drive continuous improvement across the service

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
• Completed Fit Person’s Interview with Ofsted
• Experience managing a full Ofsted inspection under own registration
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or close to completion)
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and compliance requirements
• Experience supporting children and young people with EBD or similar needs
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
• Currently working within a children’s home and able to transition within 3 months
