About the Company

We are working with a forward-thinking, design-led sustainability consultancy that is redefining how environmental performance is embedded into the built environment. With a strong pipeline of UK-wide projects across commercial, residential, education, and mixed-use developments, they are continuing to grow their high-performing BREEAM team.

This is a business that genuinely invests in its people—offering flexibility, autonomy, and clear progression pathways, alongside a collaborative and supportive culture despite being fully remote.

The Role

As a BREEAM Assessor, you will take ownership of delivering BREEAM assessments across a diverse project portfolio, working closely with clients, design teams, and internal sustainability specialists.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to step into a role with real autonomy while still being supported by an experienced and well-established team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver BREEAM assessments across multiple schemes (primarily New Construction and Refurbishment)
  • Manage projects from early design stages through to certification
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and MEP design teams to drive sustainable outcomes
  • Provide strategic advice to improve BREEAM ratings and overall building performance
  • Prepare high-quality reports and documentation for certification submissions
  • Keep up to date with evolving BREEAM standards and industry best practice

Requirements

  • Licensed BREEAM Assessor (essential)
  • 1–4+ years’ experience within a sustainability or building physics consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of BREEAM schemes (NC, RFO, or In-Use)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
  • Experience working alongside design teams across RIBA stages

Desirable

  • BREEAM AP qualification
  • Exposure to wider sustainability services (WLC, LCA, energy modelling, etc.)
  • Knowledge of UK planning requirements and sustainability frameworks

What’s on Offer

  • Fully remote working with flexible hours
  • Clear progression pathway (including support to BREEAM AP and beyond)
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Exposure to high-profile, design-led projects
  • Supportive, close-knit team culture despite remote setup
  • Competitive salary and benefits package

Why This Role?

This isn’t just a standard BREEAM position. It’s an opportunity to join a consultancy that is:

  • Forward-thinking and innovation-driven
  • Focused on quality over volume
  • Invested in long-term career growth
  • Offering genuine flexibility without compromising collaboration
