NonStop Social Care is currently working with a few local authorities in England to recruit Educational Psychologists for ongoing locum assignments.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Educational Psychologists seeking flexible, fully remote work outside IR35 while supporting local authorities with statutory assessment and EHCP demand.

Remote Educational Psychologist - About the role
As a Remote Educational Psychologist, you will undertake statutory assessments and provide psychological advice as part of Education, Health and Care needs assessments for the local authority.

This is a fully home-based position, allowing you to manage your own workload and work independently while contributing to positive outcomes for children and young people with additional needs.

The authorities are looking for experienced professionals who can produce high-quality psychological assessments remotely and work confidently within SEND frameworks and statutory timescales.

Key Responsibilities of the Remote Educational Psychologist

  • Carry out Educational Psychology assessments remotely
  • Complete statutory advice for EHCP assessments
  • Produce high-quality psychological reports within agreed timescales
  • Work in line with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Provide professional recommendations to support children and young people
  • Manage an independent caseload effectively
  • Work collaboratively with local authority SEND teams where required

  • HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist
  • Experience completing Educational Psychology assessments within the UK
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote workloads
  • Excellent report-writing and analytical skills
