Resident Liaison Officer – Roofing Projects
Location: Hatfield and surrounding areas
Salary: £34k - £37k
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (Freelance if preferred)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a specialist main contractor delivering social housing refurbishment and improvement projects across multiple sites in and around Hatfield.
This is a roaming role, providing variety and the opportunity to support a number of projects simultaneously. While the majority of works involve roofing upgrades and associated external refurbishment works, project scopes can vary depending on client requirements.
As the key point of contact between residents, site teams, and client representatives, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents are fully informed, supported, and satisfied throughout the duration of the works.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between residents and the project team.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, leaseholders, housing officers, and client representatives.
- Conduct resident consultations, property visits, and pre-start meetings.
- Provide clear and timely communication regarding planned works, programme updates, access requirements, and any disruptions.
- Manage resident enquiries, concerns, complaints, and vulnerable resident needs professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all resident interactions and project communications.
- Support site teams in achieving access targets and programme milestones.
- Produce resident newsletters, satisfaction surveys, and project updates.
- Attend client and site meetings as required.
- Ensure all customer service activities are delivered in line with company standards and client expectations.
About You
- Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer within social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment, or construction environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently across various project locations.
- Good administration and record-keeping skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
