Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential setting
- Proven track record of managing an Ofsted-rated Good or Outstanding children’s home
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding and childcare legislation
- Resilient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting young people
- Positive, proactive, and team-focused approach
- Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 12 months
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the residential children’s home
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and Children’s Homes Quality Standards
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to the staff team
- Promote positive outcomes for young people through high-quality, child-centred care
- Create a safe, secure, and supportive environment for both staff and young people
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, behaviour management, and placement matching
- Support with referrals and admissions processes
- Build effective relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain Good or Outstanding Ofsted standards
- Inspire and motivate the team to achieve the highest standards of care
