About the Role

SEND Inclusion Support is working in partnership with a leading provider of specialist education and residential care for children and young people across the UK.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people. As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll support children through both challenges and achievements, helping them build confidence, resilience, and independence in a safe and nurturing environment.

The home supports young people with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, providing structured, therapeutic care focused on positive outcomes.

Role Overview

You will play a key role within a dedicated care team, supporting young people in their daily lives and helping to create a stable, supportive home environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support
  • Building positive relationships with young people
  • Supporting emotional and behavioural development
  • Assisting with daily routines, activities, and education
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
  • Maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment

What’s on Offer

  • Base Salary: £29,034 – £35,400
  • Total Package: £36,274 – £42,640 per annum (based on good attendance and up to 4 sleep-ins per month)
  • Bonuses & Allowances:
    • Up to 4 sleep-ins per month paid at £80 per sleep (approx. £3,840 per year)
    • £1,400 attendance allowance (subject to good attendance)
    • £2,000 regional allowance
    • £1,000 welcome bonus (upon successful completion of probation)
    • £1,000 loyalty bonus (after 12 months of employment)

About You

  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential or care setting
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
