Residential Support Worker - Children's Residential Home

Shifts Available:

  • Early: 07:00 - 14:00
  • Long Day: 07:00 - 22:00
  • Waking Night: 21:00 - 08:00

We are recruiting Residential Support Workers for a therapeutic, trauma-informed children's home supporting young people aged 15-16 years.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established service that provides a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where young people can recover from trauma, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will support young people with their daily routines, education, emotional wellbeing and personal development while promoting stability, safety and positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to young people
  • Build positive and trusting relationships
  • Support education, activities and appointments
  • Promote independence and life skills
  • Maintain accurate records and safeguarding practices
  • Work alongside families and external professionals
  • Support young people with emotional and behavioural needs, including ADHD

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice
  • Team Teach training desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence desirable
  • Flexible to work a mixture of shifts, including weekends and waking nights
