Morson Edge is working with a renowned global consultancy to find a talented Risk Manager to join their team in Brighton.
Major Projects requires a Risk Manager to work across a few projects in the portfolio. They will need to build and manage project risk registers via facilitating and leading risk workshops with project teams, driving clear identification, assessment and mitigation. They will need to lead QSRAs and QCRAs using tools such as Safran, Primavera Risk Analysis or equivalent software. Assist in monthly reporting of risk at a project and portfolio level. Provide insights and challenges on schedule and cost risk exposure, contingency planning and forecasting.
About the Role: The Risk Manager will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and managing risks across major projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of risk management services, collaborating closely with stakeholders, and providing strategic guidance to mitigate potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess potential risks to projects, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate and manage risks across projects.
- Work closely with project teams to integrate risk management processes and procedures into project planning and execution.
- Provide risk analysis and reports to senior management and clients.
- Monitor and track risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely and effective mitigation measures are in place.
- Facilitate risk workshops and discussions with key stakeholders to ensure awareness and proactive management of project risks.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in risk management, preferably within the construction, infrastructure, or real estate sectors.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with risk assessment tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proven track record as a Risk Manger in major civil engineering or infrastructure programmes.
Hands on experience in running Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) and Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) with relevant software tools.
Experience in the water industry.
Experience working with regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or qualification in Risk Management, Project Management, or a related field.
