Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, including 1-hour unpaid lunch)
The Role
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the installation, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of robotic lawnmowers and associated equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in a technical, hands-on environment.
The role combines both workshop-based and on-site work, including outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of Automowers, including boundary and guide wires at customer locations
- Support machine commissioning, including software setup and testing
- Ensure all installations meet manufacturer and company standards
- Carry out routine servicing and seasonal maintenance (with supervision where required)
- Assist in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and software-related faults
- Replace parts and carry out repairs accurately and efficiently
- Deliver a professional and friendly service to customers on-site
- Explain basic operation and maintenance procedures to customers
- Support aftersales enquiries and assist with troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and warranty documentation
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures
- Attend internal and manufacturer training to develop product knowledge
- Keen interest in machinery, electronics, or engineering
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Professional and approachable manner with customers
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in groundcare, machinery, electrical, or mechanical repair
- Basic IT skills or familiarity with software system
