Job Title: New Business Sales Executive - Durham

Reporting to: Durham Managing Director

Role Overview

The New Business Sales Executive is responsible for proactively identifying, targeting, and acquiring new business opportunities. This role is highly target-driven and focused on building a strong sales pipeline through outbound activity and closing new deals.

New Business Sales Executives Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate new leads via cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and networking
  • Identify decision-makers and build relationships with potential clients
  • Qualify leads and convert them into sales opportunities
  • Deliver sales pitches, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Negotiate terms and close new business deals
  • Maintain an active and accurate pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Collaborate with marketing for lead generation campaigns
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitor offerings

The New Business Sales Excecutive will have:

  • Proven experience in a new business / hunter sales role
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in B2B sales (often preferred)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools
  • Degree not always essential; results matter more

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of outbound calls/emails per week
  • New leads generated
  • Meetings booked
  • Conversion rate (lead → customer)
  • Revenue from new business
  • Pipeline value and activity levels

Salary

  • £35,000 – £50,000 base
  • Commission structure (OTE £55k–£65k)
