School Improvement Advisor (Primary)
39 weeks (term-time) Start September 2026
£450 per day - Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
South East - On-site with some flexible home working

Are you an experienced education leader ready to make a measurable impact across multiple schools? As a School Improvement Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving standards, supporting leadership teams, and shaping outcomes for children across a defined cluster of schools. This is a highly visible opportunity where your expertise will directly influence teaching quality, leadership effectiveness, and school performance.

Your role as School Improvement Advisor:

  • Lead school reviews and deliver impactful improvement visits across your assigned cluster
  • Provide expert challenge and support on teaching & learning, raising standards across phases
  • Work closely with Headteachers and Governing Bodies to strengthen leadership and accountability
  • Design and deliver high-quality training and development programmes for school leaders
  • Produce clear, evidence-based reports and improvement plans that drive sustained change

Your experience as School Improvement Advisor:

  • Proven track record as a Headteacher or senior leader with demonstrable improvement outcomes
  • NPQH/NPQEL qualification or equivalent leadership accreditation
  • Experience with Ofsted / RISE frameworks and school evaluation processes
  • Strong understanding of primary education, curriculum, and effective pedagogy
  • Demonstrable expertise in school improvement strategy, leadership coaching, and governance
