Salary: £30,518 - £34,434 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, All Year Round (Shift patterns to be discussed)

We are recruiting for a dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee the premises of a vibrant Alternative Provision / Specialist School in the Blackburn area. This school provides a vital, nurturing, and structured educational environment for young people who thrive outside of mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities as a Site Supervisor:
Premises Management: Ensure the school buildings, grounds, and facilities are maintained to an exceptionally high, safe standard.
Security: Act as the primary keyholder, managing the opening and closing of the school site, and ensuring robust security measures are in place.
Health & Safety: Conduct regular safety checks, risk assessments, and compliance logging (including fire alarms, water testing, and emergency lighting).
Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out day-to-day DIY, minor repairs, painting, and planned maintenance work across the campus.
Contractor Management: Oversee external contractors on-site, ensuring all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the school leadership team to support the unique requirements of an alternative educational setting.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Proven experience in facilities management, caretaking, or property maintenance (ideally within an educational, commercial, or public sector setting).
Skills: Strong practical DIY skills (plumbing, carpentry, painting) alongside a good understanding of health and safety legislation (COSHH, Legionella, Fire Safety).
Attributes: A positive, solution-focused attitude. Working within an alternative school requires an individual who is approachable, calm under pressure, and adaptable.
Tech Literacy: Ability to use basic IT systems for logging maintenance requests and compliance tracking.
