Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with this Client, a successful and inclusive secondary school based in Tower Hamlets, who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join their thriving Science department from September. This is a full-time Permanent / Fixed Term opportunity offering a salary on the London MPS/UPS scale.

The successful candidate will join a well-resourced and supportive Science department, teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Biology and the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for Science.

The role will include:
Planning and delivering engaging and challenging Science lessons with a Biology specialism
Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
Supporting student progress through effective assessment and feedback
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Encouraging students to develop scientific enquiry and analytical skills
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
Participating fully in departmental and whole-school initiatives

The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have a relevant degree in Biology or a related Science subject
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education
Have experience teaching Science at secondary level
Be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning
Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be dedicated to supporting student achievement and wellbeing
Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
