About the Role We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join a supportive secondary school in the Barrow / Dalton-in-Furness area.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with a focus on Biology at GCSE level.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons, specialising in Biology
- Teach across KS3 and KS4 curriculum
- Track, assess, and support pupil progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team
- Contribute to the wider life of the school
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology and general Science
- Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Full-time, stable Monday–Friday role
