The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and help students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. There will also be opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, enrichment activities and the wider school community.
Key responsibilities include:
• Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
• Monitoring progress and using assessment effectively to drive achievement
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop outstanding teaching resources
• Contributing to enrichment opportunities, clubs and educational visits
• Promoting high standards of behaviour, achievement and engagement
The successful Science Teacher will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS by September 2026
• A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related scientific discipline
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science education
• High expectations for student achievement and behaviour
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A reflective and proactive approach to professional development
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and educational excellence

Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience.
