We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Triple Science Teacher to join a specialist secondary school in the CV4 area of Coventry. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive and nurturing environment, teaching students from Year 9 upwards and helping them develop confidence, independence, and academic success through engaging and inclusive Science education.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, while adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners within a specialist setting. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on young people’s lives and supporting students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Triple Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and learning materials to meet the individual needs of students within a specialist education setting.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, using data and observations to inform planning and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, SEN staff, and wider school colleagues to support student outcomes.
  • Encourage the development of students’ confidence, communication skills, resilience, and independence.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in line with the school’s values and behaviour policies.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment opportunities, and wider school activities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute positively to the school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, including Triple Science
  • A strong understanding of adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom practice
  • Experience working within SEND or specialist education settings is desirable
  • Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills
  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach to supporting young people
  • A commitment to helping every student achieve their individual potential
