Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Sector Cleaning Manager to provide direct line management to front-line Placemakers across a designated sector of sites.
Job Overview
This role supports the Key Account Network business by ensuring the effective delivery of all self-delivered cleaning activities within an aligned UK sector. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service through strong operational oversight and hands-on support to frontline teams.
Working closely with both direct and indirect account teams, the Sector Cleaning Manager will ensure service delivery meets all contractual expectations and requirements. The role plays a key part in driving consistency, continuous improvement and a strong customer-focused culture across the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day line management and supervision of Supervisors and Rapid Response Cleaners.
- Act as a key point of contact for frontline queries, offering practical support and guidance.
- Support direct and indirect account teams with general cleaning queries and service delivery needs.
- Ensure all SLA and KPI requirements are achieved in collaboration with the OSC job management team.
- Deliver services in line with contractual specifications and standardised processes.
- Recruit frontline Placemakers and Rapid Response roles as required.
- Manage Health & Safety responsibilities, including incidents, toolbox talks and Near Hit reporting.
- Support timesheet and system processes including T&A, P2P, ITS and Maximo requirements.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in a comparable cleaning or facilities management role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support and engage frontline colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client expectations and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills across geographically dispersed teams.
- Flexible, adaptable and proactive approach to work.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities within a frontline environment.
- Holds a UK driving licence – required for travel.
