Security Architect - AWS - Active Security Clearance Required

Inside IR35: £600 - £650 p/d
Hybrid - 1x a month in London

We're looking for a Security Architect with strong technical instincts and a proactive mindset to help shape secure solutions across digital services. Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you'll provide practical security guidance, contribute to the design of secure systems, and help ensure that risks are appropriately identified, communicated, and mitigated.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to deepen their skillset within a high-profile, public sector programme.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing secure system architectures that balance business objectives with risk
• Advising delivery teams on security best practice throughout the development lifecycle
• Supporting the development of reusable security architecture patterns
• Reviewing technical solutions and offering constructive security input
• Communicating risk and security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Experience applying structured analysis to solve real-world security challenges
• Understanding of key security concepts, technologies, and architecture principles
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and confidently to varied audiences
• Knowledge of risk methodologies and how to apply them proportionately
• Comfortable working collaboratively across delivery teams and stakeholders
• Familiarity with designing or reviewing solutions for cloud, legacy, or hybrid environments

Nice to have

• Understanding of Home Office or central government security processes
• Knowledge of secure cloud platforms, landing zones, guardrails or core cloud services
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, container security or automated security controls
