Risk Management Security Services are seeking a professional, customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at Signal Yard, the exciting new leisure and retail destination at Milton Park, Didcot. Due to open shortly, Signal Yard will bring together a range of restaurants, a tap room, retail units and community spaces, creating a vibrant destination for visitors, employees and residents. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the site from the very beginning and play a key role in helping establish a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone who visits.

About the role:

This is a highly customer-focused security role where you will be the first point of contact for many visitors, providing assistance, directions and reassurance while maintaining a visible security presence throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out regular patrols of Signal Yard and surrounding areas.
• Provide a welcoming and professional presence for visitors and members of the public.
• Assist visitors with directions and information about the site and its facilities.
• Monitor activity across the leisure and retail areas.
• Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies and customer enquiries.
• Build positive relationships with tenants, visitors and site management.
• Help maintain a safe, secure and enjoyable environment for all.
• Complete incident reports and site documentation accurately.
• Drive a company vehicle where required as part of patrol duties.

About you:

Essential Requirements:

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, approachable and professional manner.
• Ability to remain calm and make careful decisions under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Previous security experience is desirable but not essential. Applicants with security backgrounds in hospitality, retail, customer service, shopping centres, the police and armed forces are encouraged to apply.

• Fixed working pattern: Wednesday to Sunday, 17:00-01:00.
