An exciting long-term opportunity has arisen at a welcoming and supportive special educational needs school in Kingston. The school is seeking a passionate and committed teacher to deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 English lessons, while also supporting wider curriculum.
The Role:
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Differentiate learning to support students with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and communication difficulties
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence, and academic progress
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral teams, and senior staff
Candidate Profile
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage learners of varying abilities
- Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential
