Qualifications: Previous experience working with children or young people preferred, experience supporting pupils with SEN needs desirable, strong communication and interpersonal skills, enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Location: Tiptree, Essex

Start Date: September 2026 or sooner

Salary: £21,900-£26,500 (paid as a daily rate)

Type: Temporary, Full Time, Long Term, minimumof 2 terms. Could go permanent based on good performance.

About the Role:

• Supporting pupils with SEN needs within the classroom and wider school
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement and wellbeing
• Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual pupil needs
• Supporting behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation
• Assisting staff in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback where appropriate

• Experience working with children and motivating them to achieve their best
• Previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach
• Ability to remain professional and resilient in challenging situations
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to use initiative
• Genuine commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
