SEN Teacher - Secondary - September 2026 Start - 4 Days Per Week - Monday to Thursday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist secondary setting for a September 2026 start.

This is a part-time role working 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday, supporting pupils primarily across KS4, with some KS3 lessons depending on the timetable.

The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, speech and communication needs, and wider SEN needs. This role would suit a confident and experienced SEN teacher who can plan independently, deliver adapted lessons, and build strong relationships with pupils who require a structured and supportive learning environment.

The Role:

  • SEN Teacher role within a secondary specialist setting
  • Working primarily with KS4 pupils, with some KS3 lessons if required
  • Delivering ASDAN KS4 accreditation, Humanities pathways, Preparing for Adulthood, and a small amount of RE
  • Responsible for own planning and lesson preparation
  • Covering various classes and groups across the school
  • Supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, and additional SEN
  • Creating a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • No form tutor responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS
  • Have previous SEN teaching experience
  • Be confident teaching secondary-aged pupils, particularly KS4
  • Have strong planning, differentiation, and behaviour management skills
  • Be completely fluent in English, due to pupils' speech and communication needs
  • Be able to work independently and take responsibility for planning
  • Have a calm, patient, and consistent approach
  • Ideally be within MPS up to M6, although strong candidates above this may still be considered

Please note:
This role is not suitable for ECTs due to the level of SEN experience required.
