Veritas Education is working with a number of specialist schools and alternative provisions across the Guildford area who are seeking committed and resilient SEMH/SEN Teachers to join their teams.

These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people who require additional support to succeed in education.



The Role

You will be working within specialist settings supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and other complex learning needs. Teaching responsibilities may vary depending on the provision, but will typically include:

  • Delivering differentiated lessons across KS2-KS4 (subject specialism welcome)
  • Supporting students working below age-related expectations
  • Managing behaviour using consistent, trauma-informed approaches
  • Creating a safe, structured and engaging learning environment
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and pastoral teams


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience teaching within SEN, SEMH or alternative provision settings
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students who may present challenging behaviour
  • A flexible and resilient mindset
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
