A welcoming Nursery School in St Albans is seeking a caring and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This rewarding role involves supporting a nursery-aged child with physical disabilities and additional learning needs on a 1:1 basis, helping them to access learning, build communication skills, and thrive within a supportive nursery environment.
The Role:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support within the nursery setting
- Supporting the child's learning, engagement, and social interaction
- Assisting with mobility and personal care when required
- Working closely with the class team, SENCO, and external professionals
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive attitude
- Experience supporting physical disabilities and learning difficulties is desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting children in early years education
