Remedy Education are working with a lovely ASD specialist school in Beckton who are looking for an SEN Teacher to join them from September.
This is a genuine opportunity to join a supportive specialist school where staff are valued, pupils are understood and teachers are given the support they need to succeed.
The school supports pupils with autism and additional needs, and they are looking for a teacher who is patient, nurturing, consistent and passionate about making a difference within SEN.
The exact class has not yet been confirmed, which means there is some flexibility depending on the successful teacher's experience, strengths and interests.
The role:
- Teaching pupils with autism and additional needs
- Planning and delivering adapted lessons
- Creating a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
- Working closely with support staff, therapists and the wider SEN team
- Using visual supports, communication strategies and personalised approaches
- Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and independence
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families

The successful teacher will:
- Hold QTS
- Have experience or a strong interest in autism and SEN
