An exciting opportunity has become available for an SEN Teacher - Edgware to join a specialist Post-16 provision on a full-time basis with an immediate start available.

This full-time SEN Teacher - Edgware role is ideal for a passionate and adaptable teacher looking to make a meaningful impact working with young adults with additional needs in a specialist setting.

The successful SEN Teacher - Edgware will work with students with autism and moderate learning difficulties, delivering a practical and engaging curriculum focused on life skills, communication, employability, and preparation for adulthood.

The SEN Teacher - Edgware will be responsible for planning and delivering personalised lessons that meet the varying needs of Post-16 learners within a structured and therapeutic environment.

Daily responsibilities for the SEN Teacher - Edgware may include:

• Delivering functional English, Maths, and life skills sessions
• Preparing students for independent living and future employment
• Creating engaging and accessible learning opportunities
• Working closely with teaching assistants and therapists
• Monitoring student progress and wellbeing

This SEN Teacher - Edgware role would suit a teacher with previous SEN experience who is confident working within a specialist environment.

This specialist Post-16 provision delivers a holistic curriculum centred around preparation for adulthood, helping students to develop practical skills, confidence, and communication.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Previous experience working within SEN settings
• Comfortable teaching Post-16 learners with additional needs
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Experience with autism and MLD is highly desirable
