Are you a compassionate, dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in children’s lives? We are currently seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join supportive schools across the Leeds area.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support to reach their full potential. You’ll assist in delivering tailored learning plans, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and social development
- Monitor and record student progress
- Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
