The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
A specialist SEN school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech and Language needs, and social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to deliver personalised support both on a 1:1 basis and within small class groups, ensuring pupils remain engaged, supported, and confident in their learning.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have previous experience working within an SEN setting and a strong understanding of how to support pupils with diverse learning needs. A calm, patient, and proactive approach is essential.
