Salary: £95 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a range of specialist SEN schools and inclusive mainstream settings across the Hillingdon area.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, Care Workers, Psychology Graduates, or individuals looking to build a rewarding career supporting pupils with additional needs.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students access education, develop confidence, and achieve their individual learning goals.

You may be supporting pupils with:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs)
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Complex and Multiple Learning Needs

Roles may involve working on a 1:1 basis, supporting small intervention groups, or assisting within a specialist classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
  • Implement EHCP targets and individual support plans
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
  • Support personal care where required
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, SENCOs, and parents

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND desirable
  • Experience within schools, care settings, youth work, residential care, or support services welcomed
  • Patient, resilient, and caring nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
