🧭 About the Role

Remedy Tutors are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a primary SEN school setting in Peterborough.

This is a morning-only role (3 hours per day), ideal for candidates looking for consistent, part-time work while making a meaningful difference.



🎯 What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assist in delivering engaging, structured learning activities
  • Support children with:
    • Autism (ASC)
    • SEMH needs
    • Learning difficulties
  • Help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
  • Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans


🏫 Working Pattern

  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning hours (approx. 3 hours per day)
  • Based in a primary SEN school in Peterborough


🎓 What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Previous role as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or similar
  • Ideally a Teaching Assistant qualification
  • 2 years experience in Teaching Assistants
  • 2 years SEN Experience
  • Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication skills
