Role Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a school setting within the Redbridge area. This role involves working closely with teaching staff to support students’ learning, development, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.

  • Support students with learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.

  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.

  • Support with personal care where required.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers and school staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with SEN children (essential).

  • School-based experience (desirable).

  • Valid Enhanced DBS (required).

  • Ability to commit to Monday–Friday during school hours.

  • Patient, reliable, and proactive approach.
