SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – Year 5)

Zest Education is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Fulham in the recruitment of a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with Autism (ASD) and associated challenging behaviour for the full academic year.

About the Role:

• Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position for the academic year
• Providing 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with Autism (ASD)
• Supporting emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies
• Assisting with differentiated learning activities tailored to the pupil’s needs
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support plans
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive peer relationships

• Experience working with children with ASD and/or challenging behaviour
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management skills and positive behaviour strategies
• Ability to build warm, trusting relationships with pupils
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
