Pay: £35 per hour PAYE + Paid Planning & Preparation Time
Hours: Flexible Part-Time / Full-Time Opportunities

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting Qualified Teachers and SEN Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 tuition for children and young people aged 5–25 across Southwark and surrounding areas.

This rewarding outreach role is ideal for Primary Teachers, Secondary Teachers, and FE Teachers looking to move outside of the traditional classroom whilst continuing to make a meaningful impact through specialist tuition and SEND support.

Learners may present with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language Needs, anxiety, EBSA, EHCP-linked needs, and alternative provision pathways.

Tuition takes place within homes, libraries, schools, community settings, and alternative provisions.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions
• Support learners across Primary, KS3, KS4, GCSE and Functional Skills
• Adapt learning to meet individual SEND and SEMH needs
• Build positive relationships that support confidence and engagement
• Complete session feedback and progress reports
• Work collaboratively with families, schools and professionals

Requirements:

✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
✔ Experience within Primary, Secondary or FE education
✔ Strong curriculum knowledge
✔ GCSE and/or Functional Skills experience desirable
✔ SEND / SEN experience advantageous
✔ Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)
✔ Right to work in the UK
