Salary: £200 - £300 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Birmingham that is seeking an experienced SENDCO to join their team. The school has a strong inclusive ethos, supportive leadership team, and a commitment to providing high-quality support for all pupils, creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.

The school is looking to appoint a SENDCO on a temporary to permanent basis from September 2026. The successful SENDCO will lead SEND provision across the school, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, working closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure effective interventions and outstanding pupil progress.

The successful SENDCO will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• The National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to work towards it
• Previous experience working as a SENDCO within a Primary School setting
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A proactive and inclusive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
