TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in Bristol that supports children and young people aged 4-19 with a range of complex learning needs. The school provides a highly personalised curriculum within a nurturing and inclusive environment, placing a strong focus on developing independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every learner through a wide range of educational and enrichment opportunities.

The school is looking to appoint two SEND Learning Support Assistants on a full-time basis from September 2026. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistants will work closely with teaching staff to support students with SEMH and additional learning needs both in the classroom and through targeted interventions, helping to promote engagement, positive behaviour and academic progress across the curriculum.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups

• An engaging and creative approach to supporting learning

• A friendly, adaptable and team-focused attitude
