TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary setting in Tilbury. The school is committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed and has developed a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to become confident, independent learners.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND LSA on a permanent, part-time basis within a specialist resource base supporting pupils with social communication needs and Autism. The successful SEND LSA will work closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised learning, support positive behaviour strategies and contribute to the emotional, social and educational development of pupils.

The successful SEND LSA will have:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
• GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly Autism and social communication difficulties
• Experience managing challenging behaviours and completing observations to support pupil progress
• Good ICT, organisational and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, flexible and child-centred approach
