SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants for SEND students at a college based in Aston.

The hours 08:30-15:00 Monday to Thursday inclusive each week.

This role is ongoing. Immediate starts.

Must be an experienced TA to work alongside complex needs students.

Responsibilities

• Working with SEND students aged 14-25 and (some) will need personal hygiene support. The students level of ability range from complex needs to Level 2 functional skills.
• 2:1 support (although non-behaviour) offering high level of support in order to achieve high outcomes for the students
• Must be proactive and energetic

Qualifications

• Minimum level 2 education and 1 year’s similar experience
• Enhanced children and adult DBS on the update service
• A caring and empathetic nature towards individuals requiring support

Experience:

• Teaching Assistant: 1 year (required)
• SEND: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• DBS on the update service (required)
• level 2 certificate in education (preferred)

Work Location: In person
