What You’ll Be Doing:

  • 1-2-1 support for a primary-aged SEND student, assisting them in the classroom and throughout the school day.
  • Helping the student engage with their lessons and activities in a way that’s tailored to their individual needs.
  • Working closely with the teacher and other school staff to implement effective strategies and provide the best possible support.
  • Encouraging the student’s personal development, boosting their confidence, and promoting social and emotional growth.
  • Monitoring the student’s progress and adapting support to ensure they are always progressing and thriving.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate and patient individual with previous experience working with SEND students.
  • Strong communication skills to build a positive, trusting relationship with the student, teachers, and staff.
  • Someone who is proactive and adaptable, ready to support the student both academically and emotionally.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference every day.
  • Experience in a primary school setting is highly preferred.

Extra Skills That Would Set You Apart:

  • Experience supporting students with specific SEND needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning disabilities).
  • Any relevant SEND training, such as Makaton or PECS, would be a plus.
