- Monitor the quality and impact of SEND support across the school
- Contribute to school improvement planning and self-evaluation
- Oversee EHCP processes, funding applications, and provision planning
- Ensure SEND practice aligns with the SEND Code of Practice
- Identifying needs early and coordinating effective interventions
- Leading social, emotional and mental health support programmes
- Promoting positive behaviour and removing barriers to learning
- Supporting reintegration of pupils following absence or suspension
- Coaching pupils to develop confidence, independence, and resilience
- Holds QTS
- Has completed (or is working towards) the National Award for SEN Coordination
- Is passionate about inclusive education
- Can inspire, mentor, and lead colleagues
- Builds strong relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies
- Wants to make a lasting impact beyond the classroom
- Honest insight into school culture and leadership
