Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative design concepts and technical reality, leading the delivery of large-scale, complex commercial projects.

The ideal candidate possesses an exceptional eye for detail, deep knowledge of building regulations, and advanced proficiency in both Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. You will be responsible for leading project packages, managing technical delivery, and mentoring junior team members in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.



Key Responsibilities



Technical Delivery & Documentation

  • Lead the preparation of detailed drawing packages, technical specifications, and construction documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.

  • Develop robust, innovative, and practical construction details that align with the design intent and project budget.

  • Ensure all technical designs comply with local Building Regulations, planning policies, and health and safety legislation.

  • Conduct rigorous quality assurance reviews of drawings and models before external issuance.



Project & Team Leadership

  • Manage the technical aspects of multiple commercial projects simultaneously, from Stage 3 (Developed Design) through to Stage 6 (Handover).

  • Coordinate seamlessly with external consultants (structural, MEP, civil) to ensure fully integrated BIM models and drawing sets.

  • Act as a technical mentor to junior technologists and assistants, fostering an environment of continuous learning and BIM best practices.

  • Attend site meetings, respond to RFIs (Requests for Information), and review contractor submittals during the construction phase.



Skills and Qualifications



Required Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience working as an Architectural Technologist, with a proven track record of delivering commercial sectors (e.g., offices, retail, mixed-use, or industrial).

  • Education: A degree in Architectural Technology (CIAT accredited or equivalent) or a related technical field.
