Senior Buyer

Senior Buyer / Procurement Lead – Engineering / Construction. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Buyer to join a leading engineering and services business, supporting a strong pipeline of projects across the UK, notably within the Bristol, South Wales and Southwest. This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional with MEP / construction experience to take ownership of procurement activities across multiple projects, combining strategic planning with hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities,

• Lead all procurement activities across assigned projects
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve best value
• Act as procurement lead within project teams from tender through to delivery
• Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and improvement plans
• Support bid teams with procurement data, market insight, and expertise
• Establish and manage project procurement targets and savings trackers
• Develop SLAs with key suppliers (national and project-specific)
• Produce procurement reports and contribute to performance dashboards
• Attend project, contract, and post-project review meetings
• Support continuous improvement and development of the procurement function

Requirements,

• Proven experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer within MEP, engineering, or construction
• Strong experience delivering procurement across live projects
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach
• Experience working with both project teams and central procurement functions
• Strong stakeholder management and supplier negotiation skills
