We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Carer to join our care team in Portsmouth PO4. The successful candidate will support residents with high-quality person-centred care while supervising care staff and ensuring daily care standards are maintained.

Main Duties

• Provide personal care and emotional support to service users
• Administer and record medication
• Lead and support care staff during shifts
• Complete care plans, risk assessments, and daily reports
• Support residents with mobility, meals, hygiene, and activities
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report concerns to management
• Liaise with families, GPs, nurses, and healthcare professionals
• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed
• Assist with staff supervisions and training when required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a senior care or care assistant role
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care preferred
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Medication administration experience
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and evenings
